Don’t you love it when a place breaks with tradition, and actually pulls it off without messing it up? CreatureS definitely manages that. Housed in a corner shophouse not too far from Farrer Park station is this small, warm space where the dishes are inventive and the dining is of an accessible high-end bent. Their Asian-fusion menu leans towards Singapore and Peranakan flavours making them a favourite among social media foodies. Winning dishes: the perfectly cooked and lightly oven-charred miso cod, served with nasi ulam, herb rice balls and a cucumber salad, and the fork-tender babi pongteh (Peranakan pork stew), served with French baguette slices.
